Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about Polytop products and ordering.

What makes Polytop different from other polishing compounds?

Polytop products are manufactured in Germany using advanced formulations that provide consistent, professional-grade results. Our compounds are designed to work efficiently with minimal dust and excellent finish quality.

Which compound should I start with?

For most paint correction jobs, we recommend starting with Diamant 3000 Ultra Cut for heavy defects, or Rapid One-Step Plus if you need a single-step solution. For lighter swirls and scratches, Diamant 5000 Super Cut is ideal.

What pads work best with Polytop compounds?

Polytop compounds are formulated to work optimally with Polytop pads. We recommend matching the pad aggressiveness to your compound: red cutting pads for heavy cutting, blue for medium cutting, purple for anti-hologram work, and green for finishing.

Can I use Polytop products with a DA polisher?

Yes! Polytop compounds and pads work excellent with both dual-action (DA) and rotary polishers. Our excenter pads are specifically designed for DA polishers.

How do I store Polytop products?

Store Polytop compounds in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep bottles tightly sealed when not in use. Properly stored, our products have a long shelf life.
